Motivation

Hi every one! 83 more days to my long awaited holiday in South Korea and I cannot wait. So my sister sent me a picture of a girl on instagram of how this girl lost a lot of weight. I can say that I want to be like her, and it makes me motivated to want to try to lose some weight. When this girl started, she weighs as much as me today. And today about 2 years later, she is about half her size! I definitely need to have a lot of self control to go on this journey. I am of course trying to lose my weight for my health and I think i have lost a bit of weight but i think a little bit more in terms of inches. I should get my sister to measure me. Do check her, reducedfatgirl, out if you want some motivation in your journey. And here is a picture of her journey :)

I guess this is it for now. Will update more soon XOXO

Desserts and Yoga

Hi everyone! Since i have some time on my hands today, i decided to blog. Yay for me right? lol. Anyways, last night i attended one of my close friends hari raya open house and I actually made a dessert dish for her. It's a simple tiramisu dish using chocolate and coffee marie biscuits. According to one of my colleagues, in the Philippines it's called a graham cracker cake.So back to last night, we actually went home late and we were also discussing our december trip to South Korea with another close friend. So before i get into that, i'll share the simple tiramisu recipe picture with you and a picture of it too :)

Simple Tiramisu (for a normal sized aluminum tray)
Ingredients
- 2 boxes of 250g Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 2 large cans of Nestle Table Cream (380ml each can)
- 1 can of condensed milk (Ard 500g)
- chocolate marie biscuits
- coffee marie biscuits
- a bit of milo powder for dusting

Method
- Soften the cream cheese first before starting, so take them out from your fridge a bit earlier
- In a large mixing bowl, put in both blocks of cream cheese, the table cream and half a can of the condensed milk. Beat using an electric hand mixer. Once fully incorporated, test the mixture. If it is not sweet enough, add more condensed milk and beat well. I usually use 3/4 cans of condensed milk.
- Get your tray prepared and scoop some of the cream cheese mixture into the tray. Just layer a bit so it covers the whole base of the aluminum tray.
- Then you would need to layer with the biscuits. I normally layer it with coffee biscuits first then the chocolate ones and i repeat till there is a bit of cream cheese mixture left. So before i arrange and layer the tray with biscuits, I normally dip the biscuits individually in the cream cheese mixture then I line them properly in the tray. I also put an extra layer of the cream cheese mixture on top of the completed layer before i start a new layer. The reason why i do this is because i want to make sure the biscuits are moist and not dry. These biscuits actually suck up a bit of the mixture so I normally dip and then layer with the mixture so it's nice and moist.
- Once the layering process is done, I normally get 3 layers of biscuits (coffee-chocolate-coffee) but if i'm a bit "stingy" with my cream cheese mixture, i get 4 layers. If there is left over cream cheese mixture, just por it on top of the last layer and even it out.
- Lastly, sprinkle some milo powder on top and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
- If you are using a smaller container, you can just cut the recipe in half.

Happy trying ya. So now back to other things, our office had a Hari Raya celebration at the HQ office. I actually work in my client's office. There was a competition for the best raya biscuits and I thought, why don't i give it a try. I asked the Corporate Communications team, what is the maximum number of dishes a staff can bring and they advised me maximum would be 2 and to make sure I have labels for my dishes. So i went with the 2 most easiest dishes i know and i won 3rd place with one of them. The other competing dishes didn't have any labels on them, only mine did and i thought about presentation and stuff, i even brought along my own plates. lol. Competitive much ya... hahahahahaha

I prepared chocolate cornflakes and the rice krispies treat. And i won a $10 gift voucher from Le Apple. Yay!!! At least I can get more baking supplies from there. In other news, well my sister has put me on Bios Life Slim because she wants to see me lose some weight and i have been using it for about 1.5 months now. It is definitely a good product. I have lost some inches being on that and i also have decided to take up yoga classes to help me reduce more inches and weight. For people who have known me, they know that i'm not that get thin and exercise kind of girl. I can truly say that I am happy at my size but of course my sister is very concerned about me so she decided to put me on Bios Life Slim, not only to loose some weight but also for my health. I said yes to taking the product because my sister was very excited and enthusiastic for me to lose some weight. She was also concerned about my health too because i am asthmatic and my asthma has been on and off this year. So I gave in and decided to take it for improving my health. I can already see some changes in my body so that is a good thing and i don't expect to be stick skinny of course. lol. As for the yoga classes, i actually made the decision to go for them. I have seen some changes in my body already but my tummy was still very fabulous.. lol and i wanted to reduce it a bit so i can fit my clothes better. I have already gone for 3 yoga classes and i think i like it. The instructor is very good. She knows I'm a large girl so she teaches me alternative poses for my size and i'm slowly getting there. My knees did not hurt as bad as the first time and I can do a little bit more than when i first started. I will be doing yoga for 1 month and probably start doing pilates next month. My sister even created 2 hashtags on instagram for me. Hahahahahaha... Ahhhh... She must really love her baby sister <3 p="">

I'm always behind in the pictures. As for me, I now know i'm not flexible. lol. But anyone can do yoga, plus you sweat buckets doing it. So give it a go, nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. Oh yeah, last night when we were discussing about our december korea trip, it got me really excited! I can't wait to go to korea and experience the cold weather. So my sister was telling me about a blogger from Malaysia who gave pointers on budget trips to korea. I found her blog really useful and informative. So do check her out, Ms Zarina Jani. I guess this is it for today. I'll update it soon. Bubyez and muahz :)

Random Rants

Hellew and i'm back. So it's now raya season... I'm not into raya because i'm very lazy to go house visiting but of course i always have 3 mandatory houses that I have to go to every year. Anyways, I have been crazy over korean dramas and stuff like that. Well this time 2PM has grabbed my attention. And i mean REALLY grabbed my attention. I don't really know how it started but once i really had time to watch their new video, A.D.T.O.Y (All Day I Think Of You)... DAYYYMMMMNNNN!!!! These boys are HOTTT! And I can't stop drooling over them!!!! And when they have no shirt on... OOOOMMMMMGGGGGG... DAT ABSSSSSS... I'm sweating and drooling buckets here!!!! So I'm thinking to myself, how come I've never discovered these boys earlier on. I, of course, have to refrain myself because these boys are younger than me. I have noticed some good looking younger boys around but I do not want to keep it a habit... And by younger, I mean not only 2-3yrs younger but over 5 years younger! I don't wanna be a cougar but if young boys are doing this more often, I don't know what will happen to me... hahahahahahaahahahah... Damn! I'm really growing up and getting old at it too! lol! So the member that has caught my attention a lot is definitely, Nichkhun... sighhhhhh.... All i can do is sigh and smile. I find myself smiling like a silly lil girl when i google his pictures... hahahahahahah... oh well... now here is some nice photos of them that i personally like.

I DEFINITELY LIKE WHAT I SEE! LOL!
Muahz XOXO

Gloomy Monday

Hey Everyone! Yes, it's a very cloudy and gloomy Monday at work for me. So i decided to take some time out and blog. I have been up to a lot of things this week. So first up, baking! I've been baking a quite a bit

Above I baked a dessert called Lemon Delicious Pudding. I actually made this dessert when i was in Melbourne on a holiday a few years back and i wanted to recreate it. Overall a success! I loved it and my sister actually finished one by herself. On the left, i made a no fat banana loaf, it was ok, my sister liked it. and last night i baked banana chocolate chip muffins. I baked last minuted because i wanted to get rid of my bananas before they went bad so i decided to make these muffins. And the recipe has never failed me once! I love it. And for an extra surprise, i put in a slice of banana in between of the muffins so you get a feel of more bananas in it.

Some of these pictures are overdued pictures.Lol! These are the friendly evergreen aunties and uncles that i spend every Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings with. They are the choir members of my church and if you did not know, yes I am in the choir with them. I am probably the youngest or 2nd youngest member. Here we are celebrating their birthdays and yesterday we had a big celebration for one of the uncles. It was his 60th birthday and he wanted crabs! So we actually had Crabs, fish, cockles, tanghoon salad, 3 types of green vegetables, bean sprouts, rice, chicken, fruits and cheese cake to top it all of! They can really eat and they are funny too! The last birthday celebration we had, the ladies were worried about pigmentation on their faces and how they could get rid of it, and yesterday it was still the same issue! Hahaha!

These are the only pictures i took during my short, short trip to KK. The one on the left was before we took of from the Airport and the ones below was on our road trip back home. It was a 5hr drive back home! I was sandwiched between my mum and my aunty. My mum actually bought a stylish hat in KK and used it on our way back in the car. So she practically slept in style. I did speed shopping in KK and I actually got, 6 ramekins, 2 border craft puncher, 3 pairs of shoes, a pair of knock-off aviator sunglasses, 2 pairs of fipper rubber flip flops and a Starbucks tumbler with a sipper straw! Money well spent i tell ya!

I guess this is it for today. Hope you all have a great week ahead of ya.Below is something to cheer you up if you are worried about your belly. lol! Just to keep your spirits up,
YOU ARE FABULOUS AT ANY SIZE!!!
 XOXOXO =*

Hey Everyone! I'm so excited today because I'm flying off later. YAYYYYYY!!!!! Yes I'm very excited to get on that plane and fly. I guess i like that feeling of taking off and landing...Anyways, I have been home alone since Wednesday and it's very boring. There wasn't anything good on TV either. And of course I had no one to make my 10 cents face to make me food. I had to cook, so yeah that was fun, trying to spice up what I should eat and stuff. Just so you know, I had a lot of bread and I actually do love bread over rice on most days.

Remember those poppadoms i was talking about, so this is how they looked like after they were fried. And the plastic packet also said Extra Large poppadoms. I didn't imagine them to be this big.

Since Wednesday was a public holiday, I got very bored and I started to look through all my recipe books and I found a very easy and simple chocolate chip cookie recipe. And since i had all the ingredients, i decided why not try it.

This was the outcome of my cookies, huge right? Well the recipe called for 1 cup of self raising flour and baking powder so they expanded and I was surprised. I like these cookies because they're a bit crunchy on the sides and bottom and chewy on the inside. It's definitely a keeper!

This was my dinner a few days ago; toast! Am I the only weirdo out there who like a good peanut butter-cream cheese toasted sandwich? Lol! It really tastes good and I really love it.

I guess this is it for now! A few more hours then WHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEE. Yes, excited much I am! Till the next post, bubyez =D

Sometimes I can be a bimbo

Hi everyone! Just a quick update! I have not watched Despicable Me 2 yet! I'm probably going to watch it on Monday!!! Yay!!! It's already July and the fasting month will start soon. I like working during the fasting month in this new company because we get to work to either 2 or 3pm. Yay for me right? lol. Honestly, I don't remember what i was doing during the fasting month last year. What i remember was the fasting month during my banking years, I remembered that I still had to work normal hours, which was such a drag. So I am looking forward to puasa this year. Just thinking of all the free time I can have all to myself. Anyways, i will be taking a short trip next weekend! and when I mean short, i mean really short. So I'll be flying to my destination next Saturday after work and returning back the next day Sunday by car. Yes! Super short right? So speed shopping is all i can do. I'm quite excited because I finally get to fly... Hahahahahaha, I know it sounds weird but I actually do enjoy being on the plane and flying off. I like that feeling. Hopefully I can do more next year. As for this year, this is my first flight out. So sad right? Well i'm saving my leave for my big trip for December. I'm going to Korea and stopping over in Singapore before I head back. I'm so excited and I think the long break will do me good. And when I mean long break, I mean 14 calendar days long! I really can't wait for it. I hope i get to experience snow! Oh Korea, wait for me ya! :D

Now back to why I can be a bimbo sometimes. So the other day, I was craving for poppadums and you can actually buy some store bought instant ones. I went to my regular supermarkets and searched high and low for it. I searched for weeks ok and i could not find any. Last week, on a Sunday, my sister and i decided to buy some groceries and i told her that i will check for these poppadums and when i told her i could not find them. She said it was impossible and she asked me which section did i looked for it. I told her the frozen section. She laughed at me so hard and then told me that they're not frozen and i could usually find them in the sundries section. Yes, i did not know poppadums were dry! I thought they were like the frozen roti pratha ones! Hahahahahahaha... silly me right? Anyways, I managed to get the last box on the shelf! Yay! I have yet to cook these babies, maybe soon coz i know that there is a public holiday coming up soon! Yayers! Guess this is it. I'll update soon :D

I was curious, so I baked

Hey everyone, I'm back again. In my yesteryear posts, I would always say that I bake because I'm bored. This time around, I was curious so I decided to bake. Yes, lately I have been obsessed with peanut butter, so one night as i was about to go to sleep, the idea came to me. How does peanut butter chocolate brownies taste like? Of course when I woke up, i forgot what I wanted to bake and it took me ages to remember what I wanted to make. I actually found 2 recipes, but I decided to use the one with less ingredients because I'm lazy like that hahahahaha =P I actually used a smaller pan and I had to bake it longer because the middle was still runny. Overall, the outer layer is crunchy and the inside was soft and chewy. It's not too sweet just nice but I feel that there is something missing in these brownies. I'm still trying to figure it out. Here is the original recipe.

I was really busy in the kitchen yesterday because I wanted to try so many things. So I also made some Cream Cheese Popiah/Spring rolls. I really love the prawn and cheese ones from Excapade Sushi but i wanted to make some for myself without buying from them. I searched high and low on the internet for that recipe and i found it on a fellow Bruneian's blog hehehehehehe. Click here for the original recipe.I don't have any pictures to show off but my verdict is; it's not too bad but I probably need sweet Thai chilli sauce so it tastes similar to what Excapade Sushi serves.

The next recipe that I'm gonna try would be 'GyeRan Bbang' which is Korean Egg Bread. I have found a certain recipe that i would like to try. I post it up if i have tried making it already. It has definitely been a while since I've baked and I quite enjoy it.

In other news, I can't wait to watch Despicable Me 2!!! I've already watched Monster's University and I love it!!! I so can't wait till Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2! YES! I LOVE MY CARTOONS!!! hahahahaha. And oh, a random fact about me, I don't really know how to work the current microwave that we have in our house. It's not the digital kind, it's the modern looking one with some turning knobs. Lol!

I guess that is it for now! Will update more soon ;D Ciao~
